I’m Gaël Klimala, a designer who likes her pixels clean, her icons smart, and her tools ready to go. This visual designer resume gives you the basics, but the real story is in how I work. I use Adobe Creative Suite and Storyline 360 to turn big ideas into clear, accessible designs; everything from interactive FAA training to GenAI-powered visuals for blog posts and brand kits.

I work full-time with SAIC, creating 508-compliant training content that supports national learning goals. It’s a mix of structure and style: scripting, layout, interaction design, and accessibility all rolled into one. Outside of that, I co-run Dyadic Alchemy, where I create promo gear and visual systems for small businesses getting their feet under them.

I’m also earning a second bachelor’s degree in Digital Audience Strategy at Arizona State University, with minors in Project Management and Sociology. I added those because good design doesn’t live in a vacuum. It lives at the intersection of knowing what people want, how they behave, and how to keep a team running on time.

This accessible design resume includes roles where I led visual strategy, built complete training systems, and even fixed messy handoffs that could’ve derailed a deadline. My tools include Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and more AI tools than I probably need...but they help me explore fast and finish smart.

If you want to see how I bring those skills into actual projects, check out my portfolio. You’ll see a mix of clean UI, smart layouts, and flexible systems all tailored to the people using them. This digital design resume gives you the what. The portfolio gives you the how.

2022 - Current

SAIC

Multimedia Design Analyst | Remote | Full Time

As the lead designer on three FAA contracts, I conceive and build learning assets that make complex air-traffic concepts easy to master. To date I have produced 28 Articulate Storyline modules, eight gamified lessons, and 30 narrated PowerPoint courses, all fully Section 508 compliant. I also standardized a 250-icon library that now saves each developer about two hours of rework per module. Day-to-day, I coordinate with federal clients, SMEs, and developers, manage sprint schedules, and keep every deliverable on time and on brand.

2021 - 2022

Aalberts IPS

Visual Designer | Hybrid | Full Time

I enhanced digital and print touchpoints for Apollo Valves and sister brands, introducing a Trello-based workflow that lifted team efficiency by 25 percent. Highlights include a full Figma redesign of the Apollo Valves mobile-app prototype, updated brochures that simplify dense technical data, and synchronized catalog content across Excel and InDesign to deliver clear, visually consistent literature.

2018 - 2020

ABI Multifamily

Visual Designer | Phoenix, AZ | Full Time

At Arizona’s top multifamily brokerage I planned and executed high-impact marketing content—more than 50 HTML email campaigns each week, property videos, and press releases—that helped move the firm from #5 to #1 in AZ Big Media’s rankings and raised email open rates from 18 to 26 percent.

2018 - 2020

The Grid.works

Visual Designer | Phoenix, AZ | Part Time

Alongside main duties at ABI I modernized the Grid.works website with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, increasing average session time by 40 seconds, and produced short promo videos and motion graphics that drove a 15 percent uptick in site traffic.

2017 - 2017

iTRACS

Visual Designer | Tempe, AZ | Full-Time Contract

Tasked with creating precise vector diagrams for auditing software, I delivered more than 400 illustrations with zero client revisions and trained three junior designers in Illustrator efficiencies, boosting their output by 25 percent.

2016 - 2017

WD Promotions

Visual Designer | Tempe, AZ | Full-Time Contract

As the sole designer at this wholesale screen-printing and embroidery firm, I shaped the visual strategy for packaging, catalogs, and promotional collateral. I built and maintained the digital asset library, ensuring every mock-up and final file met brand specs and print standards. My largest project was creating the logo and complete branding system for the new Vintage State Apparel line, which gave the launch a cohesive look and boosted early inquiries from collegiate buyers. I also optimized layout templates and pre-press workflows, shortening turnaround time on spirit-wear orders and corporate apparel by several hours per job.

2012 - Current

Freelancing and Dyadic Alchemy

Owner, Visual Designer | Remote | As Time Allows

Since 2012 I have run Dyadic Alchemy as a side studio, creating brand identities and custom merchandise for small businesses and private clients. My husband and I manage each project end to end: consult on goals, design logos and collateral, then produce tumblers, mugs, T-shirts, and engraved items using vinyl, sublimation, glass etching, and laser cutting. The shop has fulfilled personalized orders and relies on repeat and referral customers, reflecting consistent quality and client satisfaction.
