Project Details
Because of the national security nature of my work with SAIC, I’m not able to share specific government training projects. Instead, I created this elearning game inspired by SAIC experience to give a hands-on preview of the instructional design skills I’ve developed using Storyline 360.
The game teaches French food vocabulary through a simple match-and-learn interaction. While it’s lighthearted in subject, it’s built with the same techniques I use every day: clean structure, accessible navigation, and interactive learning elements designed to reinforce content. I built this outside of work to showcase my comfort with Storyline 360 and the kind of user-first logic I bring to every training product.
Creating this from scratch with only the free trial of Storyline 360 meant working fast, thinking smart, and maximizing every feature. From triggers to states to feedback layers, I focused on function as much as polish. This isn’t just a sample. It’s proof that I can deliver functional, engaging modules with limited resources.
Want to see how I think through other types of content? Head over to my blog for behind-the-scenes posts on media literacy, AI, and creative problem-solving in real-world projects.
This portfolio item highlights my adaptability: using tools I’ve learned in a government setting to build something public, thoughtful, and just a little fun.

The game is straight forward. You match the cards. One is the English version of the word and the other the French version. Once you get a match you will learn more about the item that you have matched with a popup screen. It will also allow you to hear the proper pronunciation of the word in a full sentence. As my trial has run out for Storyline 360 I was able to download the game to be purely HTML, which is what I have uploaded. Please enjoy!
